Supply Chain management has undergone many changes over the past decade in an effort to improve qualitative and quantitative data accuracy. While the "Numbers" are improving the actual physical process of moving goods from one location to another location is at best weakly monitored. There is usually no way of knowing if there has been an integrity compromise during the shipment.
With the current world economic situation one integrity issue “Theft” has become a problem for everyone. Until the goods arrive at the destination and are unpacked and fully inspected there is no way to determine any losses or damages. High value goods are particularly susceptible to theft. Other integrity issues; temperature, humidity and rough handling can invisibly harm goods and there may be no reasonable way of determining if the shipment was “damaged” in transit.

Sky Black Ice™ is an end to end solution for monitoring any assets as they traverse the supply chain system. Sky Black Ice™ can monitor single or multiple assets from any starting point to single or multiple end destinations.
Sky Black Ice™ uses state of the art data capture and communication technologies including RFID, GSM/GPRS, GPS and numerous sensors, to examine the physical environment and provide real time notification of any deviation from the shipping profile of each shipment.
Sky Black Ice™ monitoring devices are securely and covertly attached to the inside of waterproof, crushproof and corrosion proof containers. These containers have unique RFID tags embedded in the actual container to prevent counterfeiting. Each Black Ice device is equipped with an internal RFID antenna that is mounted on the inside of the container to read the RFID tag(s) attached to each asset in the container. The case and contents can be checked for security without even opening the container as the internal asset tags are visible to the RFID reader. Internally the Black Ice unit monitors the asset RFID tags and provides instant notification via SMS messaging should the container be tampered with at any time during the shipment process.
